The program of the seventh day of Deaflympic competitions

Today, 4th of April is the seventh competition day of the XVIII Winter Deaflympics. Athletes will compete in 2 medal events.

In the Alexander Filipenko Winter Sport Centre cross-country skiers will participate in mass-start. Russian team won 6 previous races that’s why today they have a very good chance to win all gold medals of the Deaflympics 2015 in cross-country skiing.

At 10:00 a.m. 10 km women’s classic mass-start will be held. Russian team will be represented by Anna Fedulova, Lyubov Misharina, Natalia Smirnova and Raisa Golovina. In 2 hours 15 km men’s mass-start will be held. Sergey Yermilov, Vladimir Mayorov, Stepan Kuznetsov and Roman Chirkov will represent Russia in the race.

The curling tournament will continue in the Ice Palace. Semifinals will be held today at 6:00 p.m. In women’s semifinals Canada will play with China, while Croatia will have a game with Russia. In men’s tournament China will play with Russia and Canada with Switzerland. It is to be noted that in round robin teams of Russia lost the games against their counterparts in semifinals.

The final games of group stage of the deaf hockey tournament will be held today on “Arena-Ugra”.

At 3:00 p.m (15:00), Russia will play with Canada.

At 7:00 p.m (19:00), Finland will have a game with Kazakhstan.

For Russian and Canadian players this game has no value as both of them have already got to the finals that will be played on 5th of April.

As for snowboarders and alpine-skiers, there will be no competitions in these disciplines today.
