The fire was lit in the Deaflympics ski center MMK

On March 29, the ski center "Metallurg" Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Combine (MMK) held the opening ceremony of the competition skiers for the Winter Deaflympics. The event was attended by the governor of the Chelyabinsk region Boris Dubrovsky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC "MMK" Victor Rashnikov, President of the Committee of Deaf Sports, Alexander Romantsov, Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Bashkortostan Andrew Ivanyuta.

The main idea of the opening was based on the fact that the stage XVIII Winter Deaflympics in downhill skiing takes place on the land of the Urals, where the Ural River separates mainland Europe and Asia.
