The Finnish Hockey Team is ready for the 18th Winter Deaflympics in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia. Deaf Lions, the deaf Finnish national team, won the gold for the 1st World Deaf Ice Hockey and Curling Championships in Winnipeg, Canada. Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada hosted this world sporting event for Deaf athletes from around the globe which was held from April 10 to 18, 2009.
