The 18th Winter Deaflympics Organizing Committee informs:

 

1. The 18th Winter Dealfympics will be in Khanty-Mansiysk and Magnitogorsk, Russia, from 28 March to 5 April, 2015. In the Games Program will competition for five winter sports: alpine skiing, curling, cross-country skiing, snowboard and ice hockey.

 

2. Competitions in curling, cross-country skiing, snowboard and ice hockey will be held in Khanty-Mansiysk.

 

3. Competitions in alpine skiing of the Winter Deaflympics will be held in Magnitogorsk, Russia in Ski center "Metallurg-Magnitogorsk". Downhill of Ski center comply with FIS Rules for competitions in alpine skiing. 

 

Schedule:

 

25-26 March 2015 - Arrival of teams in Khanty-Mansiysk

28 March 2015 - The 18th Winter Deaflympics Opening Ceremony in Khanty-Mansiysk

29 March 2015 - Departure of teams on Alpine skiing to Magnitogorsk

30 March 2015 - Start competitions in Alpine skiing in Magnitogorsk

03 April 2015 - End of competitions in Alpine skiing in Magnitogorsk. Departure of teams to Khanty-Mansiysk

05 April 2015 - Slalom start (Alpine skiing). The Closing Ceremony of the 18th Winter Deaflympics in Khanty-Mansiysk.

 

The FREE CHARTER FLIGHT from Khanty-Mansiysk and back will be provided to all participating teams in Alpine skiing competitions and some accredited media officials.

 

Delegations need to provide division of teams during Games, regarding providing Alpine skiing teams with doctors and massage therapists.

The 18th Winter Deaflympics Organizing Committee informs:

 

1. Options of Arrival to Khanty-Mansiysk:

 

- Flights to Khanty-Mansiysk (with connection flight in Moscow);

- Flights to Surgut (with connection flight in Moscow). Free transport to Khanty-Mansiysk will be provided in Surgut. Driving time from Surgut to Khanty-Mansiysk - about 4 hours (300 km).

 

2. For accommodation of athletes and officials of the 2015 Deaflympics, Khanty-Mansiysk will offer and accommodate in hotel: "Olympic".Total number of beds in hotel is 650. In Magnitogorsk, the accommodation will be at "Jubileynaya" hotel. 

 

3. The Executive Directorate of Organizing Committee will reserve for athletes and officials of the Deaflympics all number of rooms of hotels. For hotel accommodation all must complete the Hotel form. For more info: 2015deaflympics@mail.ru.
